LED video wall is a common advertising method in the LED screen market. It is a fixed installation, contrary to rental use.
P3 LED Video Wall Project:
This indoor LED video wall was completed in 2017, installed in South Korea.
The LED video wall dimension is W 3.84 x H 2.112 meters, with the total definition W 1280 x H 704 pixels.
The LED type of seamless LED video wall is SMD2121. The LED display module is with W 64 x H 64 dots, W 192 x H 192 mm. And this SMD LED video wall is made up of W 20 x H 11 pcs LED modules. The driving method is 1/32 scan constant current, about 1,000 nits. For the driver IC, it is 2038 type, with a 1,920 Hz refresh rate.
For this LED video wall, as it is installed on the wall, and there is no maintenance space at the back. The cabinets are designed with iron material, and there are magnets at the back of LED modules to attach to them so that clients could take out LED modules from the front. Except for this, strong magnets are attached at the back of the cabinets.
There are 2 different LED panel sizes to compose this LED video wall. One size is W 768 x H 960 mm, with the resolution W 256 x H 320 pixels. And the other size is W 768 x H 1152 mm, with W 256 x H 384 pixels.
Each LED panel is equipped with 2 pcs Meanwell RSP-200-5 power supplies, fanless, and 4 pcs Novastar receiving cards, which could improve the refresh rate of this indoor LED video wall.
A video processor is added for this LED video wall, to get input signals like HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc. And it has the function of image zooming.
It was aging for 4 days before the package. During the aging and testing, it is according to the standard process in all white, red, green, blue colors in turn. And images and videos are also included to test the LED video wall. This is very important to make sure the LED screen could work well after clients receive it, at least no problem in several years of operation.
5 pcs LED panels were packed in 1 pc plywood case. Inside, the LED panels were covered with stretch film and EPE foam to protect LED lamps better.
Indoor LED Video Wall Trend:
The cake in this market is still big and would be bigger and bigger in the following years. Among them, commercial LED displays have got much more attention. It includes fields like finance, education, commerce, medical treatment, tourism, transportation, media, and so on. It is estimated that the market could reach one hundred billion RMB until the year of 2020.
So far, the commercial LED video wall is represented by the small pitch LED display. There are many new creations like COB, Mini LED, Micro LED, etc. All these shows to us that fine pitch LED display is developing and would be applied more widely in this market in the near future.
