LED Wall Stage Introduction

Nowadays, it is very common to see an LED screen on stage, no matter concerts or TV shows. Stage screens for concerts could be used as fixed and rental. For the fixed type, we could also call it an LED wall stage or stage background LED screen. For the rental type, it is set up for a short time for temporary use.

There are many types for LED wall stage, such as 3mm pixel pitch, 3.91mm, 4mm, 4.81mm, 5mm, 6mm. Among these types, 3.91mm and 4.81mm are used more widely now because of their modular size. The LED panels for stage of these two types could be made as 500×500 mm or 500×1000 mm.

Here we would like to introduce an example of a 3mm pixel pitch LED wall stage. This LED screen size is W 4.608 x H 3.456 meters, and the resolution is W 1536 x H 1152 pixels. The LED panel is 576×576 mm, composed of W 8 x H 6 pcs. This is die-casting aluminum cabinets, about 8.2 kg/pc. As it is light, it needs only one person to operate. This could save labor and time to set up an LED screen. The LED lamp is black, which could bring a better consistency to the stage. The drive IC is 2038, with a high refresh rate of about 1,920Hz. For the control card, it is Novastar. It needs 2 pcs MSD300 sending cards to support this LED wall stage, as the total resolution is more than 1,300,000 pixels. A video processor is equipped, so that live broadcasting could be achieved. For most events like concerts or TV shows, live broadcasting is a must. The video processor could support input signals like HDMI, DVI, VGA. Besides, hanging bars are used to hang the LED screen.

For this LED wall stage, it was aging for 6 days before the package. During aging and testing, it showed in all white, red, green, blue colors and videos and photos in turn. This is our standard aging process. Only after such aging and testing process that we could find some minor problems occurred during SMD producing, like cold soldering of LED lamps or drive ICs. This is important for the aging process. Once we find such minor problems, our engineers would solve them here. This makes sure clients could receive stable quality products.

As this LED wall stage would be fixed installation as a stage background, it was packed with plywood cases. Generally, for stage rental LED display, they need to be packed with flight cases for convenient transportation and reuse.
